Welcome to iBoats!

Finish her off with the 6oz cloth/fabric. Make sure and use Resin with NO wax. What Gelcoat will you be using?

Re: top glass layer.

Thanks for the welcome! This may be my first post but ive been reading through the forums for months, and have gathered much good information.

For the gelcoat, im thinking of using a local brand gelcoat (this), or ordering from us composites.

Sorry your link is not working. What resin are you using?

As long as the resin does not have wax in it there's no need to sand. I don't think it does. I'd use a short nap roller to roll the Gelcoat. 3-4 coats if you want good coverage. It needs to be about 20 mils thick. That's about the thickness of a Penney.
