I have a 1966 16ft all American fiberglass deep v hull. Does anyone know what the top speed the hull is designed for? With its million bubble ride. It cruises at thirty, but has gone faster, what's the biggest engine you can add? Thanks

Great old boat but you understand that "The Million Bubble Ride" was marketing hype by the Brunswick Corp. that had acquired Larson in 1960. I found the max HP for a sixteen footer is 120 at the link below. However, that was before the industry agreement in the early 1980's to rate outboard horsepower at the prop shaft so that number actually equates to about a 100HP modern motor. Any pix? Good luck!
