Hi!<br /><br />We have a boat with a Yamaha 20Hp -87 (had it since brand new) that should go about 27 knots (compared against another boat) but it will only reach 23 knots.<br /><br />Engine runs fine and has a compression of about 130 psi in both cylinders. I don't have a tach but the engine revs like crazy at wot, but the both doesn't go fast enough. Can an old prop start slipping more? Should I try with a new propeller with the same pitch. <br /><br />By the way, from where can I get the rev signal? I belive that I have the 703 remote control. <br /><br />Robbi
