My Speedometer tube on the outdrive is torn between the quick connect on the outdrive and the transom. Looks to be regular old 1/4" tubing to me.

Inside the bilge is another quick connect, male end comes out of the transom. What's the process to disconnect the tube from the male fitting and replace?

Not familiar with what you are talking about. Post a picture or three so we can see what you are dealing with and you will get more answers...

Might help to post some info about your boat/engine/outdrive, too, so we know what you're working on.

I can tell you that on my Alpha 1 Gen 2, the only speed connector is that on the end of the pitot tube where it attaches to the the drive. There is no such connector on the inside; the tube runs directly to the speedometer.

the pitot tube is about 5/32" id or 3/16". its about $10 for 25 feet if you need to replace it all.
