Gidday, I'm rebuilding my 1981 15 hp Johnson J15RCIS as a winter project. Don't know if it's just me but I thought I could find on the web somewhere that lists the torque settings for say, cylinder head, flywheel, water cooling side covers, exhaust and lower unit bolts, etc. Is there not a complete list that I could to to or do you have to be a certified mechanic to remember all these, which I'm not, lol.

It's more than torque settings. For a rebuild you should have a manual, factory manual is preferred.

I do most of those torques on a 9.9 from memory.-------But as suggested for a novice a manual is a good investment.-------Mistakes are easy to make and cost you a lot of money.-----A torque wrench just shows a resistance to " turning " of a bolt.----So if threads are not clean / prepared and in good shape your bolt stretch will still be wrong.
