Thanks for the information. I have another question. I read an article just this morning while doing a search for the torque-shift prop,
http://www.stingrayboats.com/products/reviews/tb3_99.html

They tried the 144-126 on a stingray 3.0L sterndrive and found it ventilated and slowed 0-30 times. They then tried a 144-132 and it performed better. What are your thoughts, is this due to the boat hull-motor setup or something else.

Thanks again

Re: torque shift prop question #2

I think if land and sea had a try before you buy service they would sell alot more props.
Your guess is as good as anybody on this.

Its just too much money for most people to invest without knowing how well it performs.
I have read good reviews from boaters who take the time to get these props dialed in just right,it is part of the game.
This seems to not be a quick easy mod,you have to like tinkering a bit.

Not Every One......
I Just got a Couple Spares......... :D
Splashed Your Boat yet Kelvin ????

I just had a chance to barely glance over your article, but what I read leads me to believe they had the Wrong Cams, or other settings on the 126 prop.....
There's No Way in He11 a 3.0l is going to Ventilate a Properly Set Up T/S Prop................ ;)

I Strongly Recommond you wait,+ Find the 126 Prop...........

Groz---listen to Bondo---and search this forum if you have not already done so. Lots of setup discussion on this prop.

I watched and looked at everything I could for several seasons before I took the plunge.

It is best to get the original setup instructions that come with these props and read every letter.

Go out with one other person who likes to tinker and spend an afternoon setting the thing up right.

I use mine when pulling tubes and wakeboards----I can pop three tubes with a boat full of adults and just purr along with the engine RPM right where I want it---no extra load on the motor.

That is really where this prop performs for my rig---low to mid RPM range and lots of extra pulling power.
