My Tow Ring busted loose on my 16ft Sylvan Aluminum boat. I was going to replace the broken rivets with bolts, but getting access to the inside of the boat looks terrifying. Would an epoxy like JB Weld and some new rivets hold?

no

tow rings have thousands of pounds of force on them (depending on what you are towing)

NOPE! You'll need to figure out a way to gain access to the inside of the transom and use through bolts

You need substantial solid rivets or bolts, meaning access to behind the bow is needed. Epoxy and pop-rivets will pull right off.

Thanks for the replies. I'll figure out how to lift the floor. Are these screwed down to a wooden platform? I'll post a couple pics when i get home. There is a storage box and live well in the front.

Are we talking about the eye bolt in the Front of the boat (Bow) or the back of the boat (Stern)?

either way, you should be able to cut an access hole thru the deck and then either make a cover for it or Patch it closed. Easy to do either way.

Got it done. Cut a hole in the floor and put 6 bolts in it. Took about 2hrs for a novice.
