Tower Base Attachment Ideas

I need to trim a tower to size before mounting it to my boat. I tried finding a 1-3/4" bung to weld into the base of the tubes so I could screw in a Clevis to all four legs, thus allowing me to fold the tower down while in storage or remove the tower easily if needed. Unfortunately, I can't find an aluminum bung that large.
I have a guy that can weld all of this, but I can't afford the corporate prices.
This company makes a beautiful mount.

I've spent a couple hours looking for alternatives. Any thoughts?
Would the folding feature of these mounts make the tower weak or have too much flex for skiing?

Easy removal and installation also allows for quick and easy theft. Something you may want to consider.

You may have to call them and ask about parts as I have had to replace parts on mine and they were easy to deal with.

Hmmm, that is a good point Jig. I guess I would have to lock the front clevis pins in place. Nothing a pirate with bolt cutters couldn't fix.

I'll weight that in with the cost of hardware. :-/
Thanks for the tips guys.
