60h.p tracker by mercery I need to know how to put oil in power trim .I opened the wrong plug to manully raise the motor and lost the oil. also what oil do i use? does motor need to be up when im doing it?

tljohn,<br /><br />Yes, the engine needs to be in the up position.<br /><br />There should be a plug (large) about halfway up on the trim motor/reservoir assembly.<br /><br />Merc. sells a special powertrim/tilt fluid. Any marine store would have it. All the brands are about the same.
