Being relatively new to boating I am looking to replace my 2002 200 hp Mercury outboard with a 140 hp 4 stroke Johnson/Suzuki. The Mercury came with the Wellcraft I recently purchased. The engine is fine but have always wanted a 4 stroke.

Anyway, Is there a way I can trade the mercury in for the Johnson (like a car?) or do I have to sell it on my own/broker it.

Re: Trade-in ?

The 140 h.p. suzuki is unbelievably smooth and quiet, and fuel efficiant. but, It will not perform or be as quick out of the hole than your 200h.p. murcury.
I have a 2002 suzuki 40 hp on a 16 jon boat great motor.

Suzuki40
