One night out on the highway a Deputy Sheriff stopped a semi truck for speeding. The deputy approached the driver and asked for his drivers license. The trucker told the deputy he did not have a license, that it had been suspended. The deputy thought he had a good arrest at that point, so he asked for the drivers truck registration. The truck driver told him he did not have a registration because it was not his truck. The deputy asked who the truck belonged to, the driver said "I don't know, some guy back at the last truck stop." The cop asked "so where is the owner at now?" The driver told him "in the trailer, I killed him when I took his truck."

The cop thinking it must be a mistake asked the driver "you mean you killed the owner of this truck?" The driver said "yes, right after I robbed the truck stop."

The cop, thinking he had made the bust of his career got the driver out of the truck, handcuffed and in the back of his patrol car. He then called the Sheriff to be there when he opened the trailer.

The Sheriff, being angry at getting woke up, arrived and asked the truck driver for his identification. The driver handed him his drivers license. He asked the driver for the registration to the truck, the driver provided the requested documents. The Sheriff, starting to get suspicious of the story, asked the driver "so what is this about a dead body in your truck?" The driver asked "what do you mean a body in my truck?" The sheriff told him "My deputy told me you confessed to killing someone and locking him in the truck"
The driver replied
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
"And I bet next that lying S.O.B. is going to tell you I was speeding too!"
