To anyone, I have a FM165(total weight app 1850) and with no trailer brakes installed. I tow it with my 2010 Subaru Forester(2400lbs Capacity) which pulls it pretty good up & down the mountains here in Central Pa and run it "Sport Mode" like a Manual Tranny. I missed something in my Forester Owner Manual that said anything over 1000lbs you must have trailer brakes. Well now, can I install elec trailer brakes or is this a Dealer must do???
