So I refurb'd my boat trailer, and added new wiring and LED tail lights. Hooked it up to my '95 F-150 and one side turn signal works, other stays lit and won't flash (like it's shorted somewhere), but, it lights in the back. Also, I couldn't see an increased brightness when brakes were on.

Double checked all wiring and soldered connections and grounds, all looked good.

Long story short - replaced my flasher with a $10 "electronic" unit (not "thermal" like OEM) and it works like a dream. I guess my flasher was too wimpy, even though it worked on my jetski trailer.

I got the part from Advance.

I don't know..... it has a plug in the rear wiring harness (at the tailgate) for a trailer plug. The hitch is aftermarket though.
