Trailer Plans

If anyone has some plans for building a single axle trailer for hauling a boat that is around 13ft in length I would love to have a copy of the plans. I have seen many plans on websites, but would have to spend money and time waiting for them to arrive. I just recently built a 59 era plywood boat and need to build the trailer to get it to the lake to "float" it before I go and put my vintage 59 Merc 35-A onto it and risk sinking it. I have a few options to get to the water, but if I can find some plans to build my own, I can have it down there within a cople of days. Thanks for any help.

Re: Trailer Plans

Go find a trailer you like and that you are sure that will fit your boat. Take pictures of it, lots of them, especially on detailed areas. Get a pen and pad and take all the measurements then you will have your own plans for construction of a boat trailer.

Good luck :)

Re: Trailer Plans

I have all the confidence in the world that I can build one without plans. My only problem I see is axle/hubs and brakes.

Re: Trailer Plans

There are many places you can get the axle with or without hubs and brakes. I just built a trailer year before last. The link below has all the parts you need. I order from them from time to time and their prices are right.

http://www.northerntool.com/
