Good Morning Everyone,
Newbie boat owner here and I have a question regarding trailer tires. I have a 1973 Holsclaw trailer with 5.70-8 tires on it. They need replacing and I was wondering if I have to use the exact same size, or are there other 4 lug options that would work?
Thank you in advance for your help.

first verify that the tires you have are designed to handle the load you have,,, assuming its right, google it up man :). I would think plenty of 8 inch options out there

I'd check the speed rating on your 8" wheels too. If you have the fender clearance, might want to look into 12". Will help with bearings overheating.

Welcome aboard Kellie:

Technically this is a hijack, and you'll want to start your own thread next time (you'll need to make one more post though). Quick answer - trailers typically stay with boats, but they're also very easy to re-hab and reuse. Often, when a boat is done and useless you can salvage some value out of a trailer.
