Trailer Wire Ground

Hey, Hoping someone can help out.

Put new wiring in my trailer, and now I am wondering about the ground.

I have a removeable tongue on my trailer, so I used a wiring harness extension for the removeable tongue so I can disconnect lights when I remove. My question is this...by doing this, it gives me 2 ground wires (white). Should these be spliced together and then grounded? Or just one of these need to be grounded?

Ayuh,.... Not sure what ya mean, but the ground path must be complete, 'n uninterrupted from each light, back to the vehicle's Battery, (-) post...

Like Bondo said, maintain the ground from the lights to the battery. White wire on the main trailer through the connector, through the splice, through the trailer to tow vehicle interface, to the tow vehicle frame and attached....somewhere up front the battery - is connected to the engine and to the frame. That completes the circuit.

Ok, great...thank you. I wondered because when I got the trailer, it was not all the way through and was grounded to the trailer itself.

Yes that is how most are the trailer frame its self becomes the white wire and you can use it like that or add the extra white wire and run it from each light some also do that.
