Anybody have a link for a basic wiring diagram for a boat trailer? Trying to fix some jury rigged wiring on an old trailer and need something to go by. The trailer has one amber light on either side, brake light/tail light combos, and a light bar in the middle of the back. Also, its a 4 pin connector, with 5 wires coming out of it. And the one coming off the connector that is different than the other three doesn't seem to be connected to anything, yet the left side lights work completely normal. The right sides don't.

Ayuh,.... If the broken wire is brown,... it's the runnin' lights for the other side of the wagon....

Do ya have a Testlight,..??

Re: Trailer Wiring Diagram

Perfect diagram. The wire is white, the ground wire. I know where the right sides aren't connecting, rotten connector and a split wire midway through the trailer. What's the best connector for the split at the amber lights? Also where does the trailer ground connect, anywhere on the tongue?
I'm pretty clueless with wiring

Yes you can connect the ground anywhere on the tongue. Just make sure it's not in the way. Most people use the ones int photo. But I like the ones in the link and last photo better. They have a moister control in them. Read info for the details. It says to use soild wire, but I just stripe the end of the wire & twist it & than solder it. Works great. But in the photo you can see that its stranded wire. So you don't need to solder it. If you don't want to. It works the both ways.

Re: Trailer Wiring Diagram

Thanks for the help. It's stranded wire and I don't have any solder equipment so I'll go for the connectors.
