Anybody make one? I'm 3 yrs from retirement & thinking about inland cruising on a tight budget for 2-3 months at a clip. When not on the water I would like to put "it" alongside the house.

Have you looked at the Shamrock "Makinaw"...(not sure if I spelled it right) 27-28 foot..Has all kind of options and is fully trailerable.. I'm saving my pennys for one... :) Might be a little small for 2-3 months but I could see a week or two.... www.shamrockboats.com

Here are some of the sites I have been looking at. One is a classic hull styled from a 1912 trawler and is built in NZ...maybe one of our NZ friends will bring it up here for us. :D <br /><br /> http://www.igrin.co.nz/catam/index.html <br /><br /> http://www.nimbleboat.com/wanderer.html <br /><br /> http://home.fox.nstn.ca/~bobrsbro/rf246/sedan/246Sedan.htm <br /><br /> http://www.devlinboat.com/dcfp.htm <br /><br /> http://www.boatowners.com/trawlers.htm <br /><br />Have fun..........

Hi Nick,<br />I have followed Boojum's progress from planning to launch on the net, and it is a beauty. Although legal, I wouldn't call it "trailerable"...weighing in at 18,500 lbs loaded.
