Hey guys, as the title states, I'm mounting a trandsender it's hull mount and my hull has 3 different levels. " Wish I could post pics" but the flat part is at the very bottom. it's an inboard outboard. it's has a flat part. then about 30 degree angle for about 8" then another angle........ I can mount it on the one angl and make it straight. But is the proper ? Also I'm having to mount it on port. is this ok too ?

thanks

Any "flat" surface that has little turbulence from props or hull speed is the best. Well wishes.

I think that really depends on your speed. If your hull lifts when planed, then the only place would be the first flat before the first step in the transom. Because as you get planed, the other two stepped areas are probably out of the water and the first flat hull area would be the only one in the water. So the would be the only place to install the transducer on the outside of the hull...
