April 24th saw the first get together by iboats members from either side of the Atlantic.

A small village pub in the heart of the UK played host to the occasion, which was attended by over 25% of the active UK iboats members (one man and his wife) and a globe trotting Californian. Weather the staff at the venue were aware of the enourmity of the occasion remains unknown.

OK!! I met with QC for a bite to eat and a few pints of beer and to take delivery of some OB parts.(A big thank you to iboats, SBN & QC who all played a part in getting the parts to me)

A very big thank you to QC who was great company durring the evening even though he must have been totally shattered at the end of a long day, I must make a special point of thanking him for showing my wife the photo's of his boating trips, having seen the hardships you have to endure while boating, she is so appreciative of my little boat & 3hp OB, she certainly hasn't mentioned getting a new boat and taking a holiday in the US.

We did our best to maintain certain traditions associated with international iboats events, you will see from the photo that no life jackets or sunglasses were worn durring the meeting.

At this point I must appologise for the photo, there was a better quality one taken but it made me look totaly bald and 25 stone.

PS. We don't drink warm beer over here!!
