I am getting a new boat and wanting to learn to go offshore and fish in no more 200feet which transducer should I get Garmin B175M or GT51M-TH any help is appreciated

Two completely different transducers.

The GT51 is a side scan transducer. Two required.

The B175M is a thru hull "conventional" transducer

I run GT51M - TM for side scan and a B175H on my CHIRP sounder
