transducer mounting on pontoon boat

Having just bought our first pontoon boat my wfe and I are wondering about the best way to mount a transducer.
NO HULL! HOW TO KEEP IT OUT OF THE CAVITATION?
ANY AND ALL SUGGESTIONS WELCOME!

[colour=blue]I've got mine mounted directly underneath the helm, on the inside of the toon.

Check the back of the pontoon. Most new toons have a bracket back there on which a live well pump and transducer can be mounted..

Agreed.

On older toons, I have "glued" a block of Starboard or teak to the trailing edge of one of the toon tubes using Marine Tex. Then, just mount the transducer to that. I'm not a fan of drilling into toon tubes.
