Hi all, I've bought a boat last year and I'm having trouble getting the fish finder to work properly. I started doing research on transducers and everything I've seen online look nothing like what is on my boat. Therefor, I'm questioning if what i thought is my transducer is in fact my transducer. Can anyone give me any information about this thing? Also, This is my first time posting a photo, so I'm sorry if i don't do it right. pic2.jpg

That sir, is NOT a transducer. It is the pitot (pickup) for the speedometer. The black tube is not electrical. It is simply a hose that feeds water pressure to the speedometer. The transducer will have electrical wires associated with it and may be mounted to the bottrom of the hull (inside the boat) or at the transom like the pitot.
