Hello...New to iBOATS hope to resolve my problem, I have a 2008 Skeeter sl180 and recently upgraded my fishfinder to a Humminbird helix 10 si mega and not getting the is imaging I have hoped for. I am thinking it is my transducer placement now after adjusting the transducer several times already.

Welcome aboard.

Do you only get a good display when the boat is stopped or at very slow speeds? The transducer is too high, about 6 inches it looks like and isn't in the water the way it needs to be. It should be on the bottom edge of the transom. Can you get a pic showing more of the transom?

That pic is hard to see also, but from what I can see, you need to mount the transducer on the lower level, not on the stepped portion of the hull.

Because you have a stepped transom, you are not transmitting into water as you move. And that IS one reason for problems seeing things on the new Locator. However, if you are not getting quality screen images when stopped, then you have something else going on as well. The transducer has to be in water for it to work. JMHO

GA_Boater...my screen is black in si mode no matter what depth I set it on, the only thing that is displayed is my boat in the center of the screen. And im trolling at 2 to 3 mph.
