Hello all, (new to the site) i've been reading the threads on trailering - great info Thanks! Should i get a trany coolant system?

I have a Rav4 pulling a 16' bayliner, dry weight boat & motor 1495. I have a small single axle escort trailor, can't imagine any more than 250lbs there. I went all last year w/ no problems but I took it very easy. If I can avoid potential problems - I will. I've heard that system is a very good idea. Does anyone have that extra system or can give me advise on them?

Thanks dave

Stock it should be a in radiator tank for the cooling of the atf. If you want you could switch to a small or medium heat exchanger.

Look at summit racing.com They have alot of tranny coolers. For a small suv like that you don't need much. Also tranny coolers arn't spacific to a certain car.:D

If you live in a cold climate, you need a bypass type as trannys can be overcooled in winter.
