Have a 2003 Four Winn's Vista 268, and it is leaking somewhere in the transom area. Has new gimbal bearing and boot, which looks good, but bilge pump kicks on once per hour. Have put it in dry and can just barely reach the bottom of the inside transom plate and feel the water. Shift cable looks good, water tube and exhaust bellows too, where are some likely sources?

Does it do it on muffs as well?
If so, Hose? Water pump? Fresh water pump? Going to need to crawl around.
If not, better recheck bellows or possible leak in exhaust y pipe.

Not fresh water pump or seacocks, leaks from somewhere behind the engine. My first Volvo, thought if the bellows leaked it didn't get in your boat, but trashed the gimbal bearing? Can it leak past the gimbal bearing enough to pump every hour?

Bought it after the bearing/bellows replacement. Got my GoPro and took a video from the bilge looking up at the transom, not good. In the process of setting up a marina to take a look, may have to pull the motor and outdrive to reseal everything. Looks like a stud missing in the bottom of the transom ring and water leaking from above as well. Takes a high pain tolerance to be a boat owner........
