After 2 1/2 days, 3 1/2 gallons of resin, 10 yards of biax, and a few bad words my new un-rotten, fresh and clean transom is in!

I'll post some pics when I get a chance to take them (probably tomorrow), but I just wanted to extend a few kind words to all of you that have proved to be an invaluable resource. When I first got into this project (last October), I had my doubts... But with some research and some guidance from people on this forum I got it done!

Stringer rebuild is next. Then the deck. Then the motor gets dropped back in. Then...... the lake! Hopefully by July 4th.

Thanks again!

Re: Transom Complete!!

Bob you're absolutely correct. Now that I'm done taking things out, I can see the boat project in a whole new light.

The perspective has changed, this stuff isn't hard at all. We've just been taking our time and it's going smooth so far. Easy work really, just a lot of time committed.

Re: Transom Complete!!

I'll admit I needed to get this transom done.. Even though I spent the past 2 weeks grinding, I needed to get something "new" accomplished. There were a few times while test fitting the new transom I was about to give up. I think I uttered the phrase "just give me a @!$#@ chainsaw and I'll be done!". Looking at it now I'm glad I didn't!
