Hi there.
In the process of rebuilding my transom.
I'm about to make my transom cutout and drill the 6 mounting holes for the transom plate/Gimbal Housing
for my MR drive.

The only drawing I've found shows a hole size of 9/16"
Just wanted to confirm if that's correct.
Seems good for the 1/2" bolts but a bit big for the 7/16".

thanks

Ayuh,.... I drill 'em all at 1/2", 'n adjust where necessary,....

Got an angle drill jig to keep 'em square to the transom,....

Thank you sir, that's a good idea.
Easier to make them bigger rather than smaller I guess!

Yes, I have a drill guide to make it square that I will use for the steering cutout as well.

I guess I should I put 4200 on the bolts?

Update.
The holes in the transom skin were 9/16" so I used a 9/16" bit to mark the holes and then a 1/2" bit with a drill guide and it fit perfect!
thanks

Ayuh,.... Good to hear,....

I slapped the drive on just before I left work today on the Hi-Liner I'm doin',.....

Hopefully test fire it tomorrow, or whenever the next day I'm in the shop,...

Today's set-back was findin' the fuel tank fulla crud, 'n crap,....
The fuel sender rusted off, 'n the arm turned to a brown shadow on the bottom of the tank,...
The dip-tube was beyond crusty,....

Gotta dig out another one in better shape now,.....

I've just seen pictures of those Hi-Liners.
They look like good seaworthy boats.
Good luck with that.
