They don't make one. I wanted a transom mount Minn Koya that can be operated from anywhere in my boat. I saw the bow mount Kotas that have a wire system and not the cables, you can mount it on the bow and control from the rear. I want the oppisite. Any help????

I've never seen one nor heard of a manufacturer that made one. However, the MinnKota Power Drive unit could certainly be adapted for use on the stern using the quick release plate. You could simply raise the motor rather than stowing it horizontally when moving from hole to hole. I'm really curious as to why you prefer a stern mount motor when you are fishing from the front of the boat. Bow mounts control the boat more effectively than stern mounts unless you happen to back-troll alot.

Re: Transom mount foot controlled trolling motor?

I have seen a couple of boats with standard bow mount trolling motors mounted on swim platforms. It would probably work with the Servo steered trolling motors also but I'm not sure about the performance of either type.

Other options are trolling motor heads which mount on trim tabs or on your lower unit. At least you can steer these from the helm.

Re: Transom mount foot controlled trolling motor?

OK, I have a 14 ft, 6.5 ft. wide Jon boat I converted to like a bass boat with the platform on the front. I have a light in the middle front and have to mount my trolling motor bracket parralell with the side on the boat. That part works fine but when I use it to steer around it runs doggy from not being in the middle like it should. Not really that much of a problem but I would like the room also. I was looking at the Minn Kotas with the wires to the foot pedal instead of the cable operated ones. That way I could have the trolling motor at the rear and pedal at the front. I did think about changing the mounting hardware from a bow to a transom mount on the bow mount, but I don't know.

I have an old Minn Kota powerdrive transom mount 36lb thrust w/remote foot pedal. I wish MK still made these, but not anymore. I have a bow mount MK 55 PD mounted on the transom, and it works fine on my 10ft jon boat. I'm not sure how practical it is on boat your size or bigger.
