Transom mount TM to Bow mount adapter design

This is a TM mount design I made to adapt my transom mount MototGuide TM to Bow mounted. This works for me on my TRACKER 12' Topper Al. Jon boat.

Maybe it will help someone else to make an adapter for their particular boat.

I will try to attach the photos of my steps in design up to completion. Hopefully the photos will mostly explain how it works.

Looks to be very well designed and built, is it made from wood or metal?

How do you intend to use the TM, standing or sitting? I have a 1436 jon boat and cast while standing in the rear section, but don't like (or dare) standing in the front, to tippy. My son will stand up in the front as I balance the boat out.

Thanks for the compliment. The triangular base plate is made out of 3/16" steel plate as well as the half box part to mnt. the trolling motor to. There is a 12" long piece of 1/16" x 1" flat bar under the front edge of bow seat to reinforce the thin bow of the boat against the top plate.

I usually fish alone and plan to use the trolling motor to slow troll for Crappie on a nearby lake. I guess you would call the middle seat where I have a swivel folding boat seat mounted to fish from and control the TM. Later on I plan to purchase an extension handle to make it easier to steer and control the speed of the TM. For now I just set the TM on an imaginary line across the area I want to fish and lock it in position.

I have lots more photos of the complete process if you would like to see them. I'm not sure how the PM system works yet but if I can send them to you that way please let me know.
