Any ideals on how to go about replacing wood in the transom of a aluminium bass tracker I have the top bolt ripping through the aluminum.

1990 TX tracker, how I'm going to get to the wood is the issue does the back have to be cut out and welded back, or would it be sufficient to make a cap out of steel run it along the back across both holes and mount it back your opinion?

the back well needs to be cut out.... and it needs to be welded back.

if you dont weld, find someone that does. your local radiator shop is a good place.

You should start a new thread in the motor section for whatever motor you have.
