Transom question: Do I replace these?

I have a 1971 Glastron V-145 Fireflight / Batboat that has a severely rotted transom and floor.

There are two plywood box structures on each side of the transom. When I replace all the wood do I replace these, too?

They are glassed to the floor and transom and filled with foam. Are these structural or am I okay without them?

Hi,

.

Well, it is difficult to say in what state the structure of the transom is, but optical it is not inspiring confidence. Replace all of that sloppiness.

Reading various threads here it looks like replacing the deck and transom is easy, but takes a little time. Only thing standing in my way is the cold weather. Once it gets to the temp where I can properly fiberglass all the rot gets ripped out.
