Transom Reinforcement

I need to "beef up" my existing transom to support a larger OB engine. The boat is a 1990 1700 series16' Bayliner Capri. It currently has a 65hp and I'm looking to upgrade to a newer 80hp. All advise and comments welcome. I hope everyone had a great new years!
