Greetings fellow boat restorers. I've got an 84 23' Criscraft Scorpion 230/350 engine. Boat is in fantastic condition, except transom is shot. The boat is made with a full transom(full width). Got an estimate of $3000 to repair. Boat's worth repairing but I'm quite handy with tools and anxious to learn boat repair. I just replaced the floor with a complete glass job on that. I'm not too much afraid to tackle the transom but am looking for some guidance to take the right steps to do it the way it should be done. Are there any transom repair manuals out there that can help me or any websites you know of that can provide the help I need? Lookong forward to hearing from you.
