Transom shield to flywheel cover Orings

Do you guys replace these when pulling an engine? I just pulled mine and both o-rings have spots where they are compressed.

I checked yesterday with the Marine parts place and they are special order and takes two weeks! I planned to have motor in tomorrow.

I could just flip them over so grove side is facing the other direction.

Any advice?

This is a VP280 drive.

yes, they get replaced for piece of mind.

there are places that have them in stock. just google the part number.

I also coat mine in grease when installing (same grease I use for trailer bearings)

In a pinch you could try to re-use them.
