Does the engine sit too low? Is this boat new to you? Did this problem just start or has it been that way since you've owned it? Did you pick up a stick or something that my be lodged in or around the pod? Any photos/video of the occurrence?

Low engine might be the problem. Now that thought has triggered load distribution . Next trip out I will watch for differences with people front or back. Engine next.
Thanks

Re: Transom Spray

Are you able to pull the manufacturer's rated redline for the engine? How fast are you getting out of the boat.

When you look over the rear end running at medium speed, you should be able to see the top of the anticavitation plate. If you cannot see it, your motor may be too low on the transom.

If you're up to speed and pulling proper rpm's, a $60 Hydrofoil installed on your anticavitation plate may solve your problem. It helped the thrust of my 115 hp 2 stroke pontoon greatly. That's a small investment.

The other thing you may want to examine is make sure your the motor pod is completely sealed. I had a bolt missing from the splash guard to the motor pod and it caused a ridiculous amount of spray. It is much improved now but I really believe it will help me tremendously to weld the splash guard to the pod to seal the seam. I notice other motor pods are all one piece. I thought I would mention it just in case you are having the same issue.

under skinning all the way to the rear would most likely help spray and other issues.
