Hi Joe ,you will need a manual to do the whole job.If you are replacing the shift bellows you should do the cable too. Charlie

First ,put it in forward gear and if your lucky the outdrive will slide out if not go ahead cut out the big bellows since your replacing it anyways and shoot some penetrating type oil at the gimble bearing as shaft may be rusted to bearing.Use tapered wood shims to assist in the process of removing outdrive.Plan on replacing gimble bearing if slightly noisy ,check hubs where bellows ride ,have had luck with jb weld there. You can do it if your persistent. It's only easy if you have done it before as the saying goes.good luck

I did the job and the cable as well. not too bad. the exhaust bellow had come off after I was done fishing for the day. (happened in the driveway). I used plenty of bellow adheasive, cleaned the surface up good, but it still came off? the rest are fine. Can you give me any more advice. Thanks alot.

Hey Joe,
A Bellows pulling tool is like 2 spoons, a disc cut in half, that are inserted into the 1st rib of the bellows, on the Inside, to pull the rubber over the outdrive side..... When you squeeze the handles, they Expand, not come together like a pair of pliars....

I don't know if that'll make sense.... It's Hard to draw a picture with words....
