Well, I've been busy, transom is out of my boat all grinding is finished, new transom is cut and laminated together. during final fitting i discovered the fiberglass shell is bowed inwards at the splashwell cut out, causing a small void behind the new wood. I can remove most of the gap by pulling out on the entire section. My thoughts to make the two pieces laminate properly is to use the old holes for the eye hooks, motor mount, drain, and splashwell drain and bolt those thru the new transom using 2x4's to create some longitudinal support and pressure across the surface. (of course the holes are pre-drilled and filled with glass) I also have about a two to three eights gap under the new wood. My idea here is to (a) fill with PL Adhesive or (b) fill with peanut butter. Suggestions and comments please. Appreciate the help as always.

Re: Transom ?

I think that the pb is the best option because F/G bonds to it.
