Going to load my boat on my flat bed ATV trailer for short trips to a lake. Will push it up a ramp on the launching wheels. Last time I had the motor off. A pita to install and remove for no longer then we were there. Will the transom be able to handle the stress of transporting down the highway. I will be leaving the motor in the vertical position.

No issues at all as long sib is well inflated to avoid transom stress if motor happens to be bouncing when travelling. Engine must be left in locked position.

Forgot to mention that if using a plain flat bed trailler, better defleat inflatable keel, much better is for sib to be towed with both tubes resting against flat bed. Would be good too to unlock the engine while sitting vertical on transom, and tie some straps on lower unit and lower trailer In the event lower leg bumps against anything will not shot the locking mechanism if it was left locked. Check which method suits you best and if driving on paved or unpaved bumpy roads.

Have a point deflating the keel. This outing I threw a ratchet strap over the bow and had a lot better ride with less bouncing. Will deflat keel a try that next time. Only trouble I had with moto is that it wanted to turn some even with the tension lock more. May use a strap to prevent that next time. Thanks
