Transum help ?

hi , i have a 82 sea ray sundancer fiberglass hull . i just bought a nice set of underwater lights that mount to the trim tabs and was wondering what is the best way to run the wires through the transum and get a water tight seal ?

I don't have underwater lights (maybe someone else will answer), but I can't imagine why I'd consider wiring them through the transom below the waterline. Don't you want to run the wire up the transom toward the gunwale, and then drill through?

I agree with the above post. Whenever possible do not drill holes in your boat below the waterline. A hole with a screw in it is one thing, but not a hole for wires. Why not run the wire above the water line for the larger hole for the wires?
