My new to me boat has the entire foam core, water logged. Below the deck it is several different compartments. I have cut so far 3 holes in it, to be covered with hatch covers, to get at the foam. This requires working in a tunnel so to speak. I have tried various techiques to get it out, but mostly it has been prying at it. I tried a AC powered pressure washer, but I guess it didn't have the power to cut it like I had read in one post. Using a spade wood bit with an extension has worked the best so far down in a tunnel, but it is slow and painfull trying to get the stuff out without getting all kinds of cuts and scrapes.

I did a search on this forum, but only found a couple of posts on removing foam when you can't take the floor off. Anyone else had to do this? Here is a picture of the hull, to show you what I am dealing with.

A 5 gal. can of gasoline and a match work well.;) J/K

Your best bet would be to cut and separate the top and bottom, then remove your foam. then put the 2 pieces back together and pour new foam back in. Those molded hulls like that can be a real pain as you've found out.
