1984 mercruiser 470. I launched in too shallow of water and managed to jack my prop up and now it appears some other things. I got home with the boat off and put in reverse to see if it would rotate and lock. Then i tried forward and noticed that when turning the prop it feels like its hung up....any suggestion aside from check water depth also when in neutral the prop moves very slowly

Drain your gear lube, see if any larger metal chunks come out. Metal shavings on the magnet are typical, you are looking for larger chunks.

Pull the prop and check for a straight prop shaft. While you have the gear oil drained, pressure test the outdrive. If all of that passes, I think you are in good shape.
