Thanks to all who posted about thier tilt and trim problems. I read a bunch of of posts and decided to use the Tecumsh needle seat. It cost me all of $9.34 and two tripe to the local hardware store because I forgot the other two o-rings that go along with the R&R of the lower valves. RRitt suplied me with a part number that is only marginally available at my local Mercury dealer so I decided if it was go enough to cut grass it is good enough to fish with. Thank you to whoe ever posted the part number for the carb kit, it worked like a charm. Teh funniest part was when the parts guy asked what it was off of. Imagine teh look on his face when I told him a force trim pump. HE laughed and said he had never seen one of those on a lawn mower.

Thanks again to all who helped

Glad it worked out for you Fred. I have to use the Mercury part number. There are too many things that can go wrong and I don't want to get sucked into it. The only sure bet is specialized tooling+experience or new check valves.
