trim button not working

I have a 95 force 120 controller is a quicksilver 3000. Trim button on the handle started not working sometimes. Button on motor no problem. Connections seem ok. Aside from changing controlls is there anything anyone would suggest to check.

I've got the same problem on a 98 75hp. I have tried to remove the switch that is in the control lever but have had no luck doing so. I know its that switch because i've unplugged the wires and jumped it out that way. works fine like that. Hopefully someone will jump in and tell us how to get that switch out. That is if our problems are trully the same.
