Good morning! Will pre Alpha trim cylinders work on a 1988 alpha one gen one?
Also, is there anything special about alpha one gen 1 SE cylinders? Would they work on it 88 alpha one gen one?
Thanks everyone!

Which 'pre-alpha'? There are 33 different drives that came before the Alpha One.

The numbers on the cylinders are as follows: - 45520 and the other has a horizontal 2, then 45520.
The numbers on my alpha one gen 1 gimbal are, 0B864700. I hope this helps. Thank you!

If that serial number is right, you have a TR drive, not an Alpha One.

Well that's interesting. Thank you for the response Chris. Are those the high-horsepower drives? And were they more common in SeaRay? Because the gimbal housing and drive are white with SeaRay markings. It is labeled 5.7, if it is a TR Drive, wouldn't they normally be behind a big block?

I'll be at work for a few more hours. I'll post a couple up when I get home. Will I be allowed to post photos since I have less than 10 posts on this forum?

Forgive me for the drive stand. I put it together out of scrap wood in about 8 minutes. And I have replaced the water intake tube.

Drive stand is fine, locally available materials... that's a gen 1 so the cylinders you ordered should be fine

Thank you for the reply Scott06. Let see if I can wrap up this 3 year hobby and see how she floats!

The trim cylinders that came with the drive. They look of questionable origin.
