good evening all. I have a question about my trim pump and cylinders. My pump and cylinders are out of a 1978 mercruiser. The cylinders are the 1" style. Now it just so happens that I have a newer set of cylinders. The are the 1 1/2" diameter ones. My question is, can I run the bigger cylinders with my trim pump. I don't have any numbers off of the pump, but im assuming it would have been the standard pump that came with a 1978 mc-1. Thx.

thx bondo! I wasn't sure if it would be too taxing on the pump or not due to the difference in volume.

does the system need to be bled, or will it eventually purge itself?
