Trim Gauge 2005 F150

The trim gauge on my 2005 F150 stopped working today. The anaog trim gauge reads in the full up position, no matter where the motor is. Are there a few easy places to check, or should I just bring it back under warranty? I would rather do it myself if the trim indicator and wiring is easy enough to test. Thanks.

I had a similar problem last year with a different motor but make sure the trim indicator sending unit at the motor is not stuck. I freed mine up and it has worked since.
