Just installing VP dps upgrade from the xdp drive. Kit came with trim gauge kit with a 3883775 electronic assembly but no instruction on wiring it. I know about the per connections and the numbers Ned from sensor but not where to connect to boat or gauge?

Should be connected the same as a fuel gauge. Switched power and ground to gauge. Signal wire from gauge to sender. Sender should be grounded to engine block.

What came in the kit, just the gauge and sender or other wires and such?

Assuming this is an analog gauge

As tank mentioned its same as fuel gauge. From the ignition key there is a purple wire going to each gauge. Tap off the purple wire somewhere (gauge or splice) and connect it to the plus side of the gauge.

There should also be a ground connection which goes to black wires (ground)

The last connection on the gauge will go to the sender on the drive. Look for a brown/white (brown with white stripe) wire at the helm and also close to the trim pump or rear of motor harness. This wire goes to the sender, and the other wire on the sender goes to ground

It could also have a light bulb connection, which can be connected direct with purple (so light turns ON with ignition) or can be connected to a panel light switch. Can also be left un-connected

Might disregard previous, just looked up 3883775 is for galvanic corrosion

If this is the case, then the diagram below should clarify
