I have an 89 Suzuki DT 100 ( 10001901160) I bought a set of teleflex gauges for it. Acording to the instructions the Pink wire goes to the sending unit pin. I have a book on the motor but all it says is that the pink and light blue wires are the trim up and down. On the motor I do see a pink and light blue. but up under the dash there is a harness that i think is the trim gauge wires. it has Pink, green, black and red. Can any one tell me how to hook this gauge up . Or even if it can be. My gauge only has 4 terminals a,b,c,d (a ignition) (B lights) ( c ground) and (d sensor) .

Re: trim gauge wiring

Make sure you have a sending unit which is a "lever" mounted on the transom bracket that will move as the engine raises and lowers The wiring for the sending unit usually follows the wiring for the ptt thru the cowling. This wiring should connect to to a harness that goes up to the dashboard. On a suzuki 4 stroke they use a two pin wire The colors are white/yellow and black.
First make sure you have a sending unit. The pink and blue activate the ptt not the sending unit.

Re: trim gauge wiring

Thanks for your reply. Yes there is a lever type sending unit tucked up under the power head just above the power trim . And it has 4 wires coming out off it, red, green, pink, and black. just like up under the dash . I just need to know how to turn 4 wires into ONE. Thanks Mike
