trim gauge

I have a 04 mercury 150 xr6 and the trim gauge won't work when I'm under power. It works fine as long as I'm idling but the neddle won't budge when boat is moveing. The motor trims up and down just the gague doesn't work under power. thanks richard

Hey Richard...this is Ranger375 from fishin.com...glad you made it here. These guys are great at helping out. It may take a day or two but I am sure you will get an answer or maybe a few of them.

Sounds like the swivel bracket is losing ground when it's stressed. There should be a few stainless jumpers to ground such parts. One probably broke. When in doubt I just run a ground wire from where the negative battery cable bolts to the powerhead to the ground screw and lead on the trim sender.
